Each participant in ProjectCSGIRLS should be incredibly proud of her accomplishment! We couldn't be more proud of your work, dedication, and passion for computer science and technology.
Semifinalists
A select number of participants will be named semifinalists and will move on to the next judging round. Semifinalists will receive recognition on our website.
Finalists
Of the semifinalists, 30 finalists will be selected. Finalists will be in the running for national awards, which will be announced at the national gala. Finalists will receive:

National Winners
The top five finalists will be named national winners and of the national winners, the top three will be named grand prize winners. Between 10 and 15 honorable mentions will also be selected. National winners represent the very best projects in the country and will be announced at the national gala. National winners will receive:

National Gala
The national gala event is, in short, the ultimate celebration of girls in computer science and technology. In this two-day event, finalists will interact and network with leaders in technology, tour top tech companies and startups in the DC area, and participate in a formal awards ceremony recognizing them and announcing the national winners. The event will feature guest speakers, tours, and activities and will open the girls' eyes to technology and computer science and show them how exciting these fields can be. They will also get the opportunity to showcase their projects to the public during the event. See info about the 2020 gala.
